Like most people that work in insurance, I ended up getting into it by accident (pun intended!). This story starts in Seattle when after graduating from college, I moved to Los Angeles to work for a company involved in internal trade. Unfortunately, this career path didn't work out for me at all.

So then I just started to look for any job that fit my personality and skills…and that is when I found a job at Leader Insurance. It was a great company with fantastic people. My career really took off when Infinity Insurance took over Leader. I really fit well at Infinity and kept moving up the ranks.

But in 2009, I felt the need for a change. I wanted to open my own office and bring a different kind of agency to the Southeast Los Angeles community—one that didn't charge broker fees and truly cared for its customers.

Looking back, I believe there was a deeper reason for that semi-impulsive decision of starting my own business.  Ultimately doing so gave me the flexibility that I needed to help care for my special-needs daughter, Nati. Sometimes, things happen for a reason.
