If you are looking for something fun and different to do, there is a hidden gem in Riverside: The Cheech Museum. “The Cheech” (named after comedian Cheech Marin) is not your average art museum. It’s one of the few places that focuses on Chicano art and the Latino experience of living in the United States, particularly Los Angeles. The talent and beautiful art is amazing but I think my favorite part was seeing how the artists express themselves in a way that made sense to me. My wife and I kind of bumped into this place….but we were glad we did. We highly recommend it. One suggestion is to be careful about bringing kids…some of the art may not be appropriate for children.
