This is a question that we often get when someone is involved in an accident and their vehicle needs to be repaired. Fortunately, there is a solution. Most companies offer a coverage called Rental Car Coverage that helps them rent a car while their vehicle is being fixed. In many cases, the insurance company actually makes the reservation for the rental and pays for it directly. But it is not automatically available in every policy. It requires the customer to have Comprehensive and Collision coverages and this option needs to be added to the policy. The cost is fairly accessible...usually $5-6 per month.
